From post link to file in three steps
Copy the link to the post that contains the video - on the website that's the address-bar URL, in the app it's Share and then Copy link. Paste it above, pick MP4 for the full clip or MP3 if only the sound matters, and download. Both x.com and older twitter.com links resolve to the same posts and work identically.
The scope is public posts: if an account is protected or a post is limited to a private circle, the tool can't reach it, because it never signs in as anyone. That's a boundary we keep on purpose, not a bug to work around.
Why save an X video at all?
X is where video goes to be seen fast and disappear faster - posts get deleted, accounts get suspended, and a clip you meant to revisit can be gone within a day. The obvious legitimate case is your own content: X offers no download button even for videos you posted yourself, so this tool is how you get your originals back. Other solid cases: clips of you shared with your consent, media your team published, and material whose owner allows saving.
Whatever you download arrives without a watermark and without quality loss relative to what X serves. Files are processed temporarily on our side and deleted automatically - the download link expires, so save the file when it's ready.

Can I download from protected accounts?
No. The tool only sees what any logged-out visitor sees, so protected accounts and circle-limited posts are out of reach - deliberately. It never signs in and never bypasses access controls.
Is there a watermark on the video?
No - the MP4 you download is the clip exactly as X serves it, with nothing stamped on top and no quality reduction added by us.
Can I get just the audio from an X video?
Yes - choose MP3 instead of MP4 and the tool delivers only the audio track. Useful for interview snippets, Spaces excerpts people have clipped, and anything you'll listen to rather than watch.
Does it work from the X mobile app?
Yes - tap Share under the post, copy the link, open this page in your phone's browser and paste. The MP4 saves to Files on iPhone or Downloads on Android; no extra app required.
Do you keep a copy of what I download?
No - processing is temporary, files are deleted automatically and download links expire shortly after being issued. If a link has lapsed, paste the post URL again and re-run it.
