Choosing a resolution that fits the destination
The tool lists the qualities available for the specific video, up to 1080p. Picking the right one is mostly about where the file will live. For watching on a phone, 720p is usually indistinguishable from higher settings and downloads much faster. For a TV, a projector, or footage you'll edit, take 1080p when the source offers it. There's no point choosing a resolution above what the video was uploaded in - the tool can only give you what the source actually contains.
The result is a standard MP4: it plays natively on phones, TVs, games consoles and every desktop player, and imports into any editor without conversion.

Can I download in 4K?
Currently the tool goes up to 1080p, which covers phones, TVs and most editing needs. We'd rather state that limit plainly than advertise resolutions that arrive re-scaled.
Why do some videos not offer 1080p?
Because the uploader didn't provide it - the tool can only offer the qualities that exist on YouTube's side. An old video uploaded in 480p tops out at 480p; nothing can honestly add resolution that was never there.
Is there a watermark on the downloaded video?
No - the MP4 is the video as-is, with no logo, stamp or branding added at any quality level. What you see on YouTube is what lands in your downloads folder.
Can I edit the downloaded MP4?
Yes - MP4 imports into every mainstream editor without conversion. For editing work, download the highest available quality so you have the most detail to cut from; just make sure the content is yours or licensed for that use.
How long does a download take?
Usually well under a minute for a typical video: the tool reads the link, prepares the MP4 and hands it over. Long videos at 1080p naturally take longer - the processing time mostly tracks the file size.
